Laurie Z. performed as part of our House Concert series on January 9, 1999. She was accompanied by Tom Tally on viola.

Our January 9, 1999 house concert, was an amazing evening of contemporary instrumental music by LAURIE Z. on piano and TOM TALLY on Viola. The 55 or so people that showed up were treated to some invigorating and creative music that showed us all just how exciting instrumental music can be. We were all particularly impressed with Laurie's ability to improvise and create fullblown compositions from ideas suggested by the audience. We want to thank Laurie and Tom for starting off our 1999 shows with a wonderful performance.

Few artists can mix classical, modern jazz and new age as gracefully as keyboardist and composer Laurie Z. With three solo releases to her credit, Laurie's music has been heard across the globe and over the airwaves on hundreds of radio stations. It's no wonder she has been called "absolutely amazing" by prominent music critics. Most recently, Laurie has opened for such respected instrumentalists as Herbie Hancock, Leo Kottke and Tim Weisberg. Please visit Laurie's website at http://www.lauriez.com.
