On Saturday, May 8, 2004 we hosted a House Concert for band Gravity.

Left to Right: Oliver C. Brown, Clydene Jackson Edwards, Harold Payne

GRAVITY is a trio of magnificently talented individuals: Clydene Jackson Edwards (vocals, keyboards), Harold Payne (vocals, guitar) and Oliver C. Brown (percussion). Their self titled debut album garnered significant airplay and top 20 chart action. They have subsequently released Love Comes Back and are the featured act on the new Power of Positive Music Vol. 1, recently released on Affinity Records. Gravity also performs the theme song "Share the Dream" for Arnold Schwarzenegger's inner city games event!

CLYDENE JACKSON EDWARDS is a two-time winner of the NARAS MVP Best Female Vocalist Award and has been heard coast to coast on network TV and radio commercials. She uses her powerhouse vocals in films like "The Lion King" and "Armageddon", and has sung on recordings by such artists as Barbra Streisand, Michael Jackson, and Michael McDonald.

HAROLD PAYNE has had over 100 recordings of his songs, ranging from Patti LaBelle and Rod Stewart to long time collaborator Bobby Womack and Snoop Dogg. He is especially known for his ability to make up songs on the spot. Internationally, Harold has participated in the "Music Bridges" projects in Russia, Bali & Cuba.

Left to Right: Oliver C. Brown, Clydene Jackson Edwards, Harold Payne

OLIVER BROWN's driving force brings a unique energy, power and a vivid palette of sounds as he moves from chimes to bells, congas and cymbals. His pleasure in performing is contagious. Oliver began his career as an original member of KC and the Sunshine Band and has toured with many acts ranging from Al Jarreau to Fleetwood Mac.

GRAVITY's music has a powerfully positive message that was the perfect compliment to the Mother's Day weekend and our House Concert with GRAVITY was simply incredible... Everyone here walked out in total amazement... It's rare that so much amazing talent comes together in one place -- though we tend to be extremely blessed here at Russ & Julie's House Concerts.

Thank you to Clydene, Harold and Oliver for a truly memorable evening. And special thanks to Chris Flether for helping us coordinate the evening. Also, our VERY SPECIAL THANKS go out to Wally & Francine for their help with the baking and preparation at a particularly difficult time. Having such special friends reminds us how truly lucky we are. The music must go on!
